Located at the beautiful side of HuaxiRiver in the southern suburbs of ChongqingCity, Chongqing Children’s Home is a social welfare organization specially for adopting orphaned and disabledchildren. 　　Growing out of the Chongqing Children’s Fostering and Educating Ward, the Children’s Home came into existence as a combination of the Infants Fostering Ward, the Young Children’s Fostering Institution and the Orphans’ Home and returned to the present name until today in 1984 although it ever merged with the Chongqing Social Welfare Ward in 1975. 　　 We Children’s Home, covering over 90 Mu and a built-up area of more than 18,000 square meters, as a staff of over 140 people, including over 120 teachers and medical workers. As the biggest, well-equipped service center of Chongqing City for children’s welfare, we take as the main line fostering and educating orphaned and disabled children, medical care and recovery, special education, fosterage in family and fosterage of disabled children and provide the following services: care and nursery of disabled children, instructional management and special education of students, medical treatment, health care and recovery drill for orphaned and disabled children, arrangement of diet and nourishment for children and so on. 　　 There are eight offices under the Children’s Home, running the daily affairs: the Fosterage and Education Office, the Students Affairs Office, the Medical Matters Office, the Recovery Drill Office and the Special Nursing Office, Serving thoughtfully as professional departments for children, the Administrative Office, the Finance Office and the House Management Office, in charge of offering the assistance in management and rear service.
